Based on Giacomo Puccini’s LA BOHEME but set on the Lower East Side of New York City, RENT is the story of young bohemians Mark, Roger, Maureen, Tom Collins, Angel, Mimi, Joanne, and their friends, all-struggling to create and survive during the rise of a mysterious, deadly disease — AIDS. Socially relevant, youthful, and moving, RENT lives on, along with the affirmation that there is “no day but today.”
And now after 10 years, it is back in Manila.
9Works Theatrical, through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MIT), presents Rent. This Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner, which also holds a TONY Award for Best Musical, among other awards, was the eight longest running Broadway show.
And though it has recently ended its Broadway run, you still have the chance to see one of the most famous musicals ever produced. There is NO DAY BUT TODAY.
