The sem’s over, finally! Whew! That was really something, I mean I know schooling would be difficult this time around but no one said it would be this kind, but what the heck, I’m having a lot of fun, so I think I’m still pretty ok with this kind of set-up. In fact, I feel like it’s been really fast, the days have gone by just like that that I’m only a few more units away from graduation (or so I thoughtJ) but really, 24 more units or 8 subjects including thesis and I’m out of school soon.

For this year’s break, I actually have a lot of things to attend to. One of my best friends is having her birthday so I still need to prep for that. My darling siblings are planning some out of town trip and I still don’t know what we’ll end up doing but that’s also something I’m excited about. I need to finish my HK tasks, like the hotel booking, our itinerary and others. We haven’t celebrated Shin’s birthday, he’s still so busy with school but I should come up with something nice soon. Jogging – yeah, I need to do that again. Claudia hasn’t informed us yet on her exact date of arrival because she said she wants it to be a surprise:D so I have to reserve a full week for that too. There are a lot of wonderful things going on for me and I’m so happy because they seem like my reward for being a good girlJ.

Bottom line is, this break doesn’t mean rest for me, only this time, the things I’ll be doing are more fun and exciting! All the sleepless and I’m-living-on-caffeine-and-lipovitanXL150 days are worth it. I’m making the most out of this because soon, I’ll be out there again. And funny me, I actually have a theme song for this sembreak, haha I’m such a teenybopper I know, but I’m sure you’ve heard of Metro Station’s Shake It from the Minute Maid Pulpy Orange commercial, such a fun fun song! Visit their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/metrostation.

♣Now if she does it like this will you do it like that, Now if she touches like this, will you touch her right back, Now if she moves like this, will you move it like that, Come on!

Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, uh shake it, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, uh shake it, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, uh shake it, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, uh shake it, Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake, uh shake it!♣

Oh btw, I’m planning to change my pc’s OS to Vista, it’s new so I expect that there are still a lot of bugs to be fixed but I’ve heard some pretty good feedbacks. Feel free to help and share your thoughts on thisJ.

Christmas Alert guys! 71 days before the big holiday! I’m so happy, can you tell??? :D

The semester is down to just three Saturdays and yet with the papers and school works that continue to pile up it seems as if the hard part is just starting. Too bad, my plan to sleep early during the weekdays and wake up at around 12mn isn’t just working to give me enough time to accomplish my graduate school responsibilities. I always end up getting up at 6am in time for my 8am office shift. Aaaaarrrgggghhh!

The weather isn’t helping too. Forcing myself to get up amidst the cool wind every morning is just as hard as finishing my thesis proposal.

On the brighter side, there’s a lot to look forward to. Christmas is just around the corner, 91 days to be exact. I am keen to finish with my Christmas list and start with the shopping early even though I am going to be out of cash really soon because of our planned getaway in December.

The sembreak is something I am also excited about, I can temporarily go back to my old habits like feeding on the TV junk, getting at least one book done from the tons that I have bought months ago and yeah being able to jog again to take out the fats I’ve consumed since June – all these for just one month.

I silently wish that sometimes I can take a semester-long break from school but knowing that it would mean a year farther from my target graduation makes me cringe at the thought. A lot has already been sacrificed for this but so far it has been worth it. The majors I am getting now are more exciting and challenging and although they eat up my gimmick time, there’s nothing more fulfilling for me now than being able to survive the challenges of graduate school.

For now, I make myself content with extra-curricular office activities. Like just today, we went out for lunch with a colleague from Chicago. He was such a nice guy, taking us out and sharing all these funny anecdotes about the few people whom we hate because they make our lives unnecessarily burdensome. It’s relieving to know that someone else from the other side of the world thinks the same way you do about certain things.

Btw, Minggoy’s Restaurante (Fort Strip) is really a good place if you’re craving Spanish. The food’s a little pricey but worth the moolah.

Our manager is also flying to Manila for a visit this coming October, so yes, that’s another event I’m looking forward to. She has always been a doll and a good manager to us and the thought of talking to her face-to-face and bonding with her even just for a little time brings a good feeling.

But before all the fun happenings that are to come, I have to endure three more sleepless (ows?? :D ) weeks just to make sure I’d be given a decent grade in all my subjects this sem, a big SIGH for that.
